The Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency (MORA) was one of three Organ Procurement Organizations (OPO) to gain national recognition by receiving a Satisfaction Champions Award presented by the Research & Planning Group (RPG) out of St. Louis, Missouri. Along with 13 other OPO’s in the country, MORA recently participated in a comprehensive study that reviewed the agency’s past three years of work and service to hospital partners throughout the state, measuring satisfaction levels of physicians, nurses and administrators. Each OPO participant was rated on 14 different satisfaction variables assessing service, education and communication effectiveness in a blind survey of its hospital partners. MORA outperformed the national mean in eight of the 14 areas and was also one of the top rated OPOs in “overall satisfaction”. Also awarded the Satisfaction Champions Award was Iowa Donor Network and Mid-America Transplant Services. The award was presented at the 2013 Best Practices Summit in St. Louis, MO earlier this month.
