DONATE LIFE MISSISSIPPI HONORS THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI FOR WINNING THE DONOR CHALLENGE 2012
Donate Life Mississippi honored The University of Southern Mississippi (USM), its fans, alumni and students on Tuesday, January 29th at the Thad Cochran Center on the Hattiesburg campus for winning the inaugural Donor Challenge in 2012. During the fall, USM and Mississippi State University participated in the Donor Challenge to see which university could register the most organ and tissue donors either on campus or via the internet during a three month period. The USM fans and students responded to the challenge by signing up over 68% of the nearly 300 registrants. Under the guidance of organizer Dianne Coleman, The College of Health Ambassadors at USM were instrumental in the success of the program working various shifts at registration tables set up on the USM campus.
